(01)The place
A mobile camp that follows the migration. Lions at breakfast, stars at dinner.
Our camp moves with the herds. Six tents, a mess tent, and a crew who have been tracking the migration for longer than most of us have been travelling.
We drive less than most safaris and sit more. A morning parked by a kopje waiting for nothing in particular is usually when the best things happen.
(02)Three moments
What you’ll still be talking about.
The calving plains
February on the southern plains, when half a million wildebeest are born in a few short weeks.
On foot with the Maasai
A walking morning with Maasai guides, reading tracks and learning which plants cure what.
Dinner, unlit
One night with no lamps at all. Just the fire, the sounds, and the Milky Way overhead.
